The American Petanque Directory (http://american-petanque-directory.wikia.com) is a free, online web site whose purpose is to provide comprehensive and up-to-date listings of petanque clubs, groups, and terrains in the USA. It uses "wiki" technology (the same web technology that Wikipedia uses) to allow every petanque player in the USA to directly edit the listings, and so to help keep the directory accurate and up-to-date.

The American Petanque Association (http://americanpetanque.wordpress.com) is hoping that the Directory can become a powerful tool for helping petanque players to find other petanque players and clubs, and for increasing the visibility of petanque in the USA. In order to help publicize the Directory, the Association is holding a drawing.

The requirements for entering the drawing are simple -- (1) to add a link -- on your club's web site -- that points to the American Petanque Directory web site, and (2) to add or update your club's listing in the Directory. The drawing prize is a set of competition boules from Petanque America, with the number and value of the prizes increasing with the number of entries. Details of the drawing and rules, descriptions of the prizes, and instructions on how to enter are available at the American Petanque Association web site (http://americanpetanque.wordpress.com).

Please help us to spread the word about the drawing -- post this announcement on your petanque-related web site or Facebook page or blog, or forward this email message to other petanque players. By spreading the word about the drawing and the Directory, you will be promoting the cause of petanque in the USA, and... who knows?... perhaps helping some lucky club to win a nice set of competition boules.

(Sorry about posting this as a comment. I couldn't figure out any other way to reach you.)
